to find a qualified OR RN in Chicago, Illinois, 60612! Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in the Operating
Room. License: Must have a valid nursing license. Certifications:
BLS certification is required. Must-Have: Level 1 Trauma
experience. Strong scrub and circulate skills. Experience in
Orthopedics, Orthopedic Trauma, Vascular, Urology, and General
Surgery. Description: The Registered Nurse position in the
Operating Room involves a day shift of five 8-hour shifts from 6:30
AM to 3:00 PM. There will be no block scheduling. Call requirements
include one 12-hour shift per month on a Saturday or Sunday, either
from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Weekday call is
not required. There is a requirement to work every other weekend,
totaling two weekends per month. Requests for time off are allowed
for a maximum of 5 days, with no more than 2 consecutive days off.
No requests for time off are permitted on holidays or the days
preceding or following a holiday. No time off is allowed on
weekends. Floating within scope may be required based on facility
needs. This facility operates as a mandatory float facility,
meaning all resources are required to float at the facility's
discretion. Experience with Neurosurgery, Open Heart/Thoracic,
Ophthalmology, ENT, Bariatric, and Gynecology is preferred.
Resources must be responsive and provide timely updates for all
required items. Compliance with vaccination requirements must be
completed ahead of the start date. Returning resources must undergo
full recredentialing and attend any required orientation if
returning after a break in service. Candidates may be floated to a
variety of units, including outside of their primary area of
