Clean Harbors, a leader in environmental and emergency management services, is seeking a skilled Emergency Response Class A CDL Equipment Operator to join our dedicated team. This role is critical in our mission to provide rapid, safe, and efficient emergency response services across North America. The operator will manage and operate specialized equipment during emergency spill responses and environmental clean-up projects, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. Operate Class A vehicles and heavy equipment such as vacuum trucks, tankers, and roll-offs during emergency response operations. Respond to hazardous and non-hazardous spills and environmental incidents. Execute decontamination procedures and waste disposal according to all federal, state, and local regulations. Participate in safety meetings and maintain compliance with all health and safety protocols. Prepare and maintain detailed operational reports and logs. Communicate effectively with team members and provide updates to incident commanders and project managers. Proficiency in operating Class A CDL vehicles and heavy machinery. Strong understanding of emergency response and hazardous waste management. Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in emergency situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance 401k Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification. DOT training and certification.
