    What We Are Looking For

    The Operations Quality Engineer will maximize customer experience and assure customer loyalty by driving integration of quality principles and techniques into all phases of the product lifecycle through optimized processes and systems, collection and analysis of data, structured problem solving, complaint resolution, quality training, coaching and conduct of audits. The Operations Quality Engineer will also continue to build working relationships internally and externally.

    What You Will Do
    • Lead or participates in quality planning and quality control
    • Apply advanced quality planning tools such as FMEA, boundary diagrams, interface analysis, process capability analysis, control plans (including optimized statistical sampling plans), mistake proofing, design for X (DFx e.g. manufacturability, assembly, test, servicing), product lifecycle planning, measurement system analysis, supplier qualification and PPAPs (Production Part Approval Process), where required to assure requirements are met or exceeded.
    • Incorporate reliability principles into specifications, test plans, and other relevant documents
    • Consider the human factor components and their impact on quality initiatives e.g. the change acceleration process (CAP) ergonomics, appropriate corrective and preventive actions for inadvertent human errors, etc.
    • Develop, operate and maintain quality control systems (inspection and test methods) which assure approved quality levels and standards to meet or exceed customers' requirements.
    • Lead and/or participate in quality audits (internal and external) of processes and solutions
    • Perform supplier quality management activities including supplier performance assessment, dispositioning purchased product and supplier certification.
    • Apply statistical methods for product & process control.
    • Drive continuous improvement in product, processes, and costs.
    • Resolve quality problems (e.g. customer complaints, supplier problems, internal failures) and reduces quality costs using structured problem solving with closed loop corrective and preventive actions.
    • Apply metrology and statistical measurement to problem analysis and proposes metrology and statistical methods improve quality
    • Analyze data relevant to quality inspections and initiatives and generates improvement conclusions and reports
    • Collaborate with more experienced quality engineers to provide follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems.
    • Develop and administers quality training programs for all appropriate functions in the organization.


      What You Will Bring
      • Required Degree: Bachelor's degree in Engineering
      • Years of Experience: 3 -5 yrs of experience working in a Quality Engineering role, preferably within a Manufacturing environment
      • Certifications and/or Licenses: ASQ CQE or technical equivalent will be required within 18 months of hiring
      • Preferred Certifications and/or Licenses: ASQ CRE, CSQE, CSSBB or technical equivalent
      • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 is a plus
      • Preferred experience interfacing with external auditors and performing internal audits
      • Familiarity with Copper Jacks, Fiber Connecters, Molding, Stamping is preferred
      • Preferred experience with resolving quality problems and reducing quality costs using structured problem solving with closed loop corrective and preventive actions
