Duties/Responsibilities - Diagnose and repair tractors and
trailers. - Perform annual/systematic 90 day and HM-183 inspections
(tankers) on equipment as required. - Ensure equipment meets
Federal FHWA standards. - Operate a yard hostler truck to move
trailers within the facility yard and the shop as needed. - Order
and receive parts and supplies as needed. - Adheres to all
established safety (OSHA) and environmental policies and standards
to include identification, use, and proper procedures for handling
or disposal of hazardous waste. - Clean, organize and maintain the
work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace
safety. - Using welding equipment. - Perform miscellaneous duties
as assigned. - Perform HM-183 DOT inspections on tankers
(P,V,I,K,L,HS,UC,) (EPA-M27) Trailer Mechanic Required
Skills/Abilities - Must possess at least 3 years of experience in
repair and service of trailers, hazmat tankers, and medium duty
trucks. - Required to have demonstrated knowledge of vehicle and
equipment theory, principles and repair relating to diesel engines,
air, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. - Minimum of 3
years experience of tractor and trailer maintenance, DOT rules and
regulations. - Ability to use vehicle diagnostic software. -
Minimum of 2 years as a fleet mechanic. - Minimum of 3 years of DOT
HM-183 certification, Training or experience. ASE Certification not
required but recommended. - High school diploma, completion of
G.E.D. required. Preferred Qualifications - Dynamic, ambitious and
