Job Description:

Position Title: CNC Lathe Set-Up Operator Wage: $25-$30/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6am-2:30pm QPS is seeking a detail-oriented CNC Lathe Set-Up Operator to join our client’s growing production team in Hartland, WI. This role is ideal for a machinist who enjoys hands-on setup work, thrives in a climate-controlled shop environment, and takes pride in producing high-quality, precision parts. CNC Lathe Set-Up Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Set up and operate Hardinge and Haas CNC lathes - Work with Fanuc and Haas controls; perform tooling offsets and minor program edits as needed - Perform hourly part inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment - Accurately complete quality documentation and maintain production records - Troubleshoot set-up or machining issues to keep production running smoothly - Maintain a clean and safe work environment CNC Lathe Set-Up Operator Requirements: - Prior CNC lathe set-up and operation experience (Hardinge or Haas preferred) - Familiarity with Fanuc and Haas controls - Ability to perform tooling offsets; program editing experience is a plus - Proficiency in using inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges - Strong blueprint reading and part inspection skills - Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
