Job DescriptionRole Overview: Wealth Investment Solutions -
Fixed Income Client Portfolio Management (CPM) TeamThe Fixed Income
CPM team is responsible for client engagement, marketing and
product development of our customized fixed income solutions for
the Wealth Management client base. The team is looking for a client
portfolio manager to focus on the growth of our leading fixed
income Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) platform. The candidate
will work closely with portfolio managers and be in the field
meeting with wealth advisors in an effort to expand our SMA
footprint. The role requires a strong background in fixed income
asset classes (rates, municipals, corporate credit) and excellent
communication / sales skills. The candidate should be comfortable
with client meeting travel, marketing preparation and presenting in
larger settings. The role requires strong analytical,
communication, and organizational skills, with an enthusiasm for
investing and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Key
Responsibilities:
- Client Coverage & Portfolio Management - Responsible for
covering Sales Teams, Wealth Advisors and end clients with regard
to their fixed income investments; advising on portfolio
positioning, performance, product platform, markets etc. Requires
knowledge of key risks and themes being expressed across the global
fixed income team and how they play a role within specific
portfolios and the broader asset allocation.
- Marketing & Business Development - Responsible for oversight of
team content; regular marketing materials, thematic pieces, bespoke
client materials/ pitches, website, and thinking strategically
about engaging with the Wealth Management client base and
organization.
- Product Development - Work to evolve the platform based on
industry trends, market environment, client needs, and competitive
landscape.
- Education and Training - Training Sales Teams and Advisors on
our product suite, the market environment, and individual portfolio
themes.
- Division-wide Collaboration - Working with PMs, Research,
Technology, Compliance and other internal teams to most effectively
and efficiently cover our client base and improve our
business.
- Project Management - Engage on a variety of projects related to
product development, portfolio management and our ability to
leverage technology to scale and improve the client experience.Key
Skills & Experience:
- 6-10+ years of experience in fixed income client coverage (must
have experience in this space).
- Self-motivated, well organized, strong attention to detail and
ability to multi-task.
- Excellent communication, commercial and interpersonal skills
with a strong ability to develop and maintain relationships.
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset with ability to develop
and mentor more junior team members, work with various internal
teams to accomplish key business goals.
- High energy, sales oriented, eager to travel and be in the
field with clients.
- Strong understanding of asset allocation, fixed income markets
and products, and a desire/ability to gain in-depth knowledge of
our SMA positioning, process and performance.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word with keen attention to
detail.Salary RangeThe expected base salary for this Chicago, IL,
United States-based position is $100,000 to $230,000. In addition,
you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active
