MedPEDS Hospitalist Opportunity in South Bend, IndianaPosition
DetailsLocated in South Bend, IN - Chicago 95mFull-Time;
PermanentSeeking a BC/BE MedPEDS Hospitalist to add to our growing
and expanding serviceThe program currently includes thirty
hospitalists, four midlevel providers and seven pediatric
hospitalists. Hospitalists have the opportunity to work predictable
hours and have support with 24-hour ICU coverage, procedural
support, No CODE BLUE, RAT Call or CODE Stroke responsibility.
Adult shifts are 9, 10 or 12-hour shifts in a mix of predominately
days with sporadic nights (due to our Nocturnist program). The
pediatric schedule is comprised of in-house 12-hour, 10-hour and
6-hour shifts. Responsibilities include general and subspecialty
pediatric care, as well as moderate sedation. No NICU, nursery, or
delivery coverage. Also unique are separate call shifts allowing
focused, uninterrupted rounding shifts. The practice treats
patients with a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds and
interesting pathology.Pediatric specialty care includes Neurology,
Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, ENT, Pulmonology/Sleep Medicine,
Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease, Behavioral and
Hematology/Oncology as well as child life specialists, diabetic
educators, dietitians, and social workers.BenefitsA market
