Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing job in Chicago, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Oncology Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2200.00 Opportunity: RN - Oncology Job Details: • Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM • Clinic closes at 3:30 PM but may stay longer to complete infusions • No weekend rotation or on-call responsibilities • Closed on major holidays • 1 year of outpatient infusion/oncology experience required • BLS and ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification required • Must be comfortable administering chemotherapy agents • Experience with peripheral IV, Port-a-Cath, and PICC line access required • Must demonstrate strong assessment skills and ability to recognize adverse reactions • Comfortable drawing blood from ports for laboratory work • Handle approximately 10 patients per day through the department • Provide care for adult oncology patients receiving long-term IV antibiotics, injections, blood and platelet infusions • Work with EPIC EMR system (preferred but not required), Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing • Navy scrubs required • No floating to other departments • One shift orientation on the unit to learn workflow • Free parking available Facility: This healthcare facility is a 205-bed hospital featuring a Level II NICU and comprehensive medical services. The outpatient infusion oncology unit operates within the same-day surgery area and consists of 5 treatment chairs. The facility provides specialized cancer care services with support from oncologists on-site, rapid response capabilities, and dedicated scheduling staff for patient appointments. The unit maintains high standards for oncology care with experienced nursing leadership and modern medical technology.
