Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiac Catheterization Lab Location: Bloomington, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,758 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 9 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position Job Title: Cardiac Cath RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 9-Hour Days Hours per Shift: 4 shifts per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Active state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Previous cath lab experience is essential. Ability to read telemetry strips and titrate drips is required. Familiarity with intravenous medications is necessary. Experience with peripheral angiography cases and interventional radiology is preferred. Description: This position involves working in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The lab has 2 suites and 6 pre/post beds. On average, the lab handles 3 cardiac catheterizations and 2 angiograms per day. Common diagnoses and types of patients include STEMI, stroke, drain placement, line placement, and various heart catheterizations. Skills needed include managing temporary pacemaker insertion and peripheral angiography. The electronic medical record system used is Epic. Equipment utilized includes Philips monitoring systems. During each shift, there is a charge nurse present who may take patient assignments. Cath Lab Technicians are available to assist. Shifts are typically from 0700 to 1530. On-call requirements include being available 2-3 nights per week and on-call every third weekend. Holiday on-call is required for 2 holidays per year. Floating to other units is rare, and staff will not take patient assignments in those cases. Hospital scrubs will be provided for the position.
