Position Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist
Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: Interventional
Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours
Experience: Minimum of 18 months required License: Current state
license in Radiology Technologist required Certifications: ARRT(R),
BLS Must-Have: - National certification in Radiology - Ability to
maneuver equipment and improvise positions - Knowledge of sterile
technique and supplies used during special exams Description: The
position involves performing diagnostic and therapeutic
radiographic procedures for radiological diagnosis in a timely
manner. Demonstrate the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary
to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric. Follow
physician's instructions and prepare and operate equipment to
correctly position patients for imaging. Treat patients with care
and respect. May be required to scrub into procedures as needed.
Advance credentialing in interventional radiology may be required,
if applicable. Knowledge of sterile technique is essential. The
ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary support
team is expected. Shift requires on-call duties including 10 shifts
per month with weekend call included. Weekend requirements include
being on-call every 3rd or 4th weekend. Candidates must be able to
work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Floating to other units within the
