Job Description:
Job Brief: Column Technical Services is hiring a technical
CAD/Application Specialist to provide AutoCAD application and
technical support for a global leader in power, energy and nuclear
power in Chicago. Be part of a dynamic and knowledgeable team with

architect-engineering firms in the world. Hybrid - Applicants must
reside in the Chicagoland area In this position you will be
responsible for providing application and technical support to
design and collaborate with designers/ engine personnel including
investigating CAD user problems and determining and providing

Responsibilities: Knowledge of CAD application configurations,
these applications may include but is not limited to: Autodesk
AutoCAD Autodesk Inventor Autodesk Plant 3D Bentley MicroStation
Bentley Open Building Designer Direct support and troubleshooting
to project teams on the various CAD / engineering applications.
Workspace configurations. Knowledge of VBA or some level of
scripting knowledge / or LISP is a plus . Maintaining applications,
this includes working with deployment teams to implement updates
via SCCM. Knowledge of deployments tools is a plus. Collaborate
with end point administration and system administration groups to
provide kiosk computer workstations, this may include physical
desktop and virtual desktop implementations. Occasional travel may
be required to other company office locations or to attend
conferences. Skills Required: Minimum of 2-3 years related
experience with associate degree. Strong knowledge of CAD design
software . Strong working knowledge of desktop operating system,
Windows 10, and Windows 11. Ability to perform advanced
troubleshooting of general applications, and CAD and Engineering
applications. Knowledge of VBA or some level of scripting knowledge
/or LISP is a plus. Excellent verbal communication and customer
service skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office a plus. Organize
tasks and establish guidelines. Self-motivated, capable of
multitasking and able to work well in a team environment.
