Job Description:

Home Instead Palos Heights, IL is looking for a dynamic professional that is goal-oriented, motivated, and tenacious to join our team as a Home Care Sales Representative.

This position requires someone who is a self-starter and able to follow-through with little oversight. The ideal candidate will have a high level of energy, confidence and resilience that will allow them to create relationships with community referral sources and generate referrals for home care services. We are seeking a multi-tasker with a level of competitiveness that will enable them to establish community partnerships as well as new business in the home care industry.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales plan to meet business development goals
  • Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources, including hospital case managers, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing/rehab facilities, hospices, physicians' offices, fiduciaries, etc.
  • Complete daily face-to-face sales calls with referral sources for purposes of generating business leads
  • Perform all phases of sales process, including preparation and documentation of cold calls, follow-up calls, diagnosis of referral source and client needs, recommendation of appropriate Home Instead ® services and additional community resources, and maintenance of existing referral accounts
  • Achieve lead generation objectives with the primary goal of bringing in new business to increase overall market share.
  • Perform care consultations with potential clients

Education & Experience Requirements

  • College degree (preferred)
  • Experience in a sales role in the senior care, home care or healthcare industry (consultative sales a plus)
  • Established relationships with referral providers in our territory (preferred)
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Must possess a dependable vehicle with valid car insurance
  • Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check, motor vehicle check and drug test


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • A passion for seniors and their care
  • A desire to take the lead in growing the business
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines and sales objectives
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly work
  • Have knowledge of the senior care industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook
  • Able to work evenings or weekends as required
