What Would You Do
- Influence and lead business consulting expertise to design
consultants, sales and deployment teams for strategic and complex
large customers
- As an Individual contributor you'll be working with
multi-functional teams to drive business transformational change
with our partners, multiple business units, and solution teams
using Cisco Architecture technologies in creating vertical/segment
specific solutions for our customers
- Individual contributor in correlating business issues around
people, process, and technology to create architectural solutions
specific to a given customer or segment.
- You'll contribute on the creation of Strategic Architecture
Blueprint, Multi-Generational Technology Plan, and Architecture
Management Office standard methodologies, and thought
leadership.
- Work in the development of the conceptual, and logical
architecture level view in the development and incubation of
services offerings. Works closely with other Enterprise Architects,
and other solution architects across various complex architectures
that are uniquely tied to vertical industry segments.
- Contributor of new insights on white papers, customer and
market trends, industry event presentations, and mentoring peers
and managers on the business, operations, systems, and technical
architectures across technologies
Who you are
- You are proficient in one of the following architecture
domains: business, application, integration, infrastructure, and
data architecture strategies and linking it in with Cisco Solution
Architecture play.
- You have the ability to anticipate issues, problems or events
and proactively resolving them with the customer and partners
- You are responsible for the technical integrity, customer
satisfaction and success of documenting projects and/or multiple
design engagements by collaborating with project stakeholders.
- You have experience of driving the integration of the solution
into an existing business, application, integration,
infrastructure, and data architecture domains, which would drive
systems integration and implementation, approaches. Including the
identification and integration of Third Party products and services
into a cohesive solution design.
Role and Responsibilites:
- Work with a customer as an individual contributor to document
business and IT requirements and then provide a comprehensive
enterprise architecture solution through offering deliverable
framework for a large and global customers or equivalent sized
business unit of moderate to high complexity. Works as an
individual contributor with a team of business consultants,
solution architectures, and engineering SMEs. Business consulting
and business architecture experience required.
- Communication: Communicate effectively. Strong oral & written
presentation skills. Strong customer relationship skills including
the ability to quickly create productive collaborations, which
influence technology innovation and adoption. Experienced track
record working as a business consultant on project initiatives with
strong customer and I.T. Value proposition.
- Problem solving : Apply business consulting skills and
analytical problem solving experience in within broadly defined and
implicit constraints. Exercises sound judgment in obtaining
results, with minimal senior team member input or assistance.
Identifies the key business problems to be solved and solves them
independently, using professional knowledge, sound judgment and
Cisco policy and procedure. Clearly applies creativity and original
thinking to tackling multiple issues, some complex, to create
effective and lasting solutions content. Problem solutions address
business needs.
- Supervision Given & Received: C ollaborate closely with various
levels of Management, Solution Architects, and Engineers from the
customer and Cisco perspective. Works independently and consults
with Cisco subject matter experts on a variety of strategic
technical and business related issues. Drives cross-functional
teams of subject matter experts at the program or project level.
Mentors others.
Minimum Qualifications (Required Skills)
- Enterprise Architecture Breadth: Complete enterprise
architecture breadth in one of the following domains: business
architecture, application architecture, integration,
infrastructure, and data architecture domain.
- Technical Architecture Depth & Breadth: At least two
architecture domain breadth & depth in one of the following
domains: Security, Observability, Automation, Hybrid Cloud, SSE,
IOT domains.
- Industry Vertical Depth: Industry Consulting Architecture
Management Office work experience in one of the following
verticals: HealthCare , Manufacturing, Energy, Life Sciences,
Retail, and Finance
- Expertise in one of the following network centric technologies
(Compute-Virtualization, Enterprise Network (WAN/LAN, Wireless),
Security, SDWAN, Full Stack Observability, Collaboration, and
operational disciplines (incident management, performance, change
management, systems management, change management).
- Knowledge of key IT business architecture areas including
business process design and governance.
- Ability to solve problems with innovative ideas to affect
change in customers' environments as a result.
- At least one of the following certifications: CCIE, AWS, GSP,
Azure, Oracle, CISSP certification
- Requires a technical or business undergraduate degree (or
equivalent).
- Requires 3-5 years working experience in a combination of IT
consulting / systems integration and IT role(s).
- Requires a track record of responsibility for managing project
and/or functional teams.
Manager Specific Requirements:
- Must be willing and able to travel 80-100%, mostly USA. Must
have deep vertical knowledge in at least one of the following:
Manufacturing, Retail/CPG, Financial Services, Healthcare or
Energy.
- Deep experience in governance design, organizational change
management and/or "people" is preferred.
- TOGAF or ITILv4 or Sig Sigma Green Belt certification also
preferred.
- Location is flexible as long as one lives near a major US
airport and candidate is willing and able to travel 80-100%. Strong
preference for candidates in the Midwest

the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S.

non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only;

target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on
top of their base salary, which is split between quota and
non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco
typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to
50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and
75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and
100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates
are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on
incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic
sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales
plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales
incentive compensation to be paid.
