Principal Missile Defense System Requirements Engineer (SED)Contingent upon prime contractor approvalPurpose:

• Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Principal Missile Defense System Requirements Engineer in Huntsville, AL. In this position you will fill a senior role in MDA's System Design and Specification directorate and will support the implementation and execution of a disciplined systems engineering process to produce System-level technical documents necessary to establish the basis for MDA Program Office subsystem engineering.Job Description:
  • Provide support to the development, management, and planning for current and future missile defense capabilities.
  • Provide senior-level support to the definition, management, and execution of requirements traceability; allocation of MDA Technical Core Standards adherence planning.
  • Provide leadership of the MDA Engineering Requirements Group.
  • Foster collaborative engineering technical interchanges across the MDA engineering community for requirements development.Qualifications:
    • Must have a Master's degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 12+ years of experience.
    • Must have technical expertise supporting government and contracting staff in systems and digital engineering.
    • Must have experience in MBSE tools (CAMEO), principles, and methodologies for development, requirements, design, and analysis of architectures in complex DoD projects.
    • Must have experience in the development, management, and planning for current and future capabilities as they relate to missile defense, specifically related to the functional portion of the system.
    • Must have experience in reviewing, analyzing, and providing recommendations on the development, addition, variances, and changes to functional requirements as well as providing quality checks on technical documentation and products.
    • Must have senior-level experience in document development, presentations, change requests, and other engineering products.
    • Must have experience with interacting and supporting high-level government customers (Senior NH-4 director-level and above).
    • Must have an understanding of Industry/DoD engineering best practices, complemented with mature communication skills.Desired Qualifications:
      • INCOSE CSEP or ESEP certification, preferred.
      • Previous MDA experience, preferred.
      • Knowledge of MDA systems engineering processes, preferred.
      • Knowledge of ballistic, cruise, and hypersonic missile defense fundamentals, preferred.Security Requirements:
        • Must have an Active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to maintain it.Travel Requirements:
          • Up to 10%.
          • If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.Physical Requirements:
            • Must be able to work in an office environment.
